RANDA HIJAZI
Visual Artist
Brief info
Syrian-Canadian artist
The work of Randa Hijazi reflects the convergence of her Eastern roots with experiences of suffering, migration, and identity within a Western cultural context. Her paintings document human and cultural narratives, including portraits of communities and women, memories, as well as the hardships of war and the longing for home with the aim of building a visual bridge between cultures that highlights human struggle, hope, and belonging. With her evolution toward Organic Surrealism, she uses biomorphic forms inspired by nature, the human body, and psychological symbols to integrate the inner world with human experience. Her works invite viewers to feel, remember, and engage, making art a human and cultural bridge that expresses shared humanity.
