We want you to live with your acquisition in confidence. This policy sets out when and how a work may be returned, and how refunds are handled. It forms part of our Terms & Conditions and does not affect your statutory rights under the consumer-protection laws of Quebec and Canada.
1. Authenticity & condition guarantee
Every work we sell is guaranteed authentic and accompanied, where applicable, by documentation of provenance and a certificate of authenticity. Works are described and photographed as accurately as possible; the inherent characteristics of original art — texture, slight variation, and the marks of the hand — are not defects.
2. Inspection on receipt
Please inspect your work promptly upon delivery and retain all original packaging. If a work arrives damaged, or does not match its description, notify us within 48 hours of delivery with photographs of the work and packaging so we can resolve the matter quickly.
3. Right of cancellation
Where a work is purchased remotely (online, by email, or by telephone), you may cancel and return it for any reason within 14 days of receipt, in accordance with applicable Quebec and Canadian distance-contract rules. To exercise this right, contact us in writing within the period and return the work unaltered and in its original condition and packaging.
4. Eligibility & exclusions
To be eligible for return, a work must be unaltered and in the same condition in which it was received. The following are generally not eligible for return except where damaged, not as described, or otherwise required by law:
- Commissioned, bespoke, or made-to-order works.
- Works altered, framed, mounted, or installed at your request after delivery.
- Works damaged through handling after delivery.
5. How to initiate a return
To begin a return, email info@ranor.gallery with your order details and reason for return. We will confirm authorisation and provide instructions for safe, insured return shipping. Please do not return a work without prior authorisation.
6. Return shipping & condition
Authorised returns must be packed to the same standard in which they were shipped and sent via an insured, trackable service. Where a return is due to damage, error, or a non-conforming work, we cover return shipping and insurance. Where a work is returned under the cancellation right for other reasons, return shipping and insurance are the buyer’s responsibility, and the work remains your responsibility until it reaches us.
7. Refunds
Once a returned work is received and inspected, we will notify you of the outcome. Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method within 14 days of our receiving the work. Refunds cover the purchase price; original shipping charges are refunded where the return arises from damage, error, or a non-conforming work.
8. Damaged or incorrect works
If a work arrives damaged or you receive the wrong work, we will arrange collection and, at your choice, a replacement (where available) or a full refund including shipping. Please report such issues within 48 hours of delivery as set out above.
9. Contact
For any question about returns or refunds, please contact info@ranor.gallery. We respond to all messages with care.
