RANOR Art Gallery Inc. ships artworks worldwide with the care a work of art deserves. This policy explains how acquisitions are prepared, shipped, and delivered. It forms part of our Terms & Conditions.

1. Handling & packing

Every work is inspected, condition-reported, and packed to museum standards. Depending on medium, dimensions, and destination, this may include acid-free wrapping, corner protection, custom-built crates, or climate-considerate materials. Fragile, large, or high-value works are crated by professional fine-art handlers.

2. Processing time

Most works are prepared for dispatch within 5–10 business days of cleared payment. Works that require bespoke crating, framing, or a certificate of authenticity may take longer; in such cases we confirm an estimated timeline with you before shipping.

3. Shipping methods

We ship via insured, trackable services appropriate to each work — specialist fine-art carriers for significant or oversized pieces, and reputable couriers for smaller works. The method is selected to balance security, transit time, and value. Shipments are insured for their full value while in transit.

4. Delivery timelines

Once dispatched, indicative transit times are:

  • Within Canada — typically 3–7 business days.
  • International — typically 7–21 business days, subject to destination and customs clearance.

Timelines are estimates and not guaranteed. Customs processing, remote destinations, and circumstances beyond our control may extend delivery.

5. Shipping costs

Shipping, crating, and insurance are quoted per work based on size, weight, value, and destination. We provide a written quotation for your approval before dispatch. For certain works, complimentary or fixed-rate shipping may be offered and will be noted at the time of acquisition.

6. Customs, duties & taxes

For international shipments, import duties, taxes, and customs fees are determined by the destination country and are the responsibility of the recipient unless otherwise agreed in writing. We declare shipments accurately and in accordance with applicable law; we cannot mark artworks as gifts or under-declare their value.

7. White-glove delivery & installation

For select works and locations, we can arrange white-glove delivery, unpacking, and installation by specialist handlers. This service is optional, quoted separately, and arranged in advance. Please contact us to discuss requirements.

8. Risk, title & receipt

Title to a work passes upon receipt of payment in full. Risk passes on delivery to the address you provide. Please inspect each work upon arrival and retain all packaging. Any visible damage or discrepancy must be reported in line with our Returns & Refunds policy.
